Wide Days — MAY 1-3, 2024
For the second year running, our team is delighted to be heading to Scotland to take part in Wide Days. Each year, the festival attracts many important members of the music industry from the UK, Europe and North America.
M pour Montréal will be presenting showcases on May 2, during which four exceptional Montreal artists will have the chance to perform at the legendary Bongo Club in Edinburgh. Starting at 7pm, discover the magnetic indie-pop of harpist Emillie Kahn, the R&B-influenced dance pop of Soran, the twisted, sprawling rock of ALIAS and the incisive, unapologetic electro-punk of DVTR.

FOCUS Wales — MAY 9-12, 2024
From May 9 to 11, the team will travel to the beautiful region of Wales to take part in FOCUS Wales, an international music showcase festival presenting a selection of the best new artists from around the world. Over 20,000 people are expected to flock to the town of Wrexham for the occasion. Thanks to a collaboration with the Québec Government Office in London, M pour Montréal will be travelling there for the third year running to present showcases and a reception.
On May 9, four Montreal projects will be showcased at the Penny Black Room in Wrexham. The evening promises to be non-stop, with post-punk flirting with 80s new-wave from La Sécurité, 70s-inspired psych-rock from Bon Enfant and abrasive performances from DVTR and ALIAS.
The Great Escape — MAY 15-18, 2024
The M pour Montréal team will finally be making a stop in Brighton, an enchanting English seaside resort, to present showcases as part of The Great Escape. Since 2006, this annual gathering has presented over 500 emerging artists from around the world in some 30 venues within walking distance of each other throughout the city. And that’s not counting Brighton’s wonderful beach, which plays host to a few temporary concerts.
On May 16, starting at noon at Patterns, start the day off right with the “What’s 14,000 kilometers between friends?” reception organized by M for Montreal and the New Zealand Music Commission, in collaboration with DIY Magazine! Pimm’s cup and smoothie bowls, an essential for any seaside event, will be served from noon onwards to refresh you. Next up are the indescribable supergroup Mock Media, made up of members of Crack Cloud, N0V3L, Pottery and Painted Group, Choses Sauvages, a Montreal sextet with an inexhaustible disco-punk groove, La Sécurité and renowned Toronto rapper Haviah Mighty, winner of the 2019 Polaris Prize for her album The 13th Floor. These showcases, presented by M pour Montréal, will take over the second floor from 12:15pm.
ASHY, DARTS, Tom Larkin and Earth Tongues, showcases presented on the second floor by the New Zealand Music Commission, will alternate.
